Hello, WooCommerce Weight Based Shipping Developer,

Thank you for this great plugin. It really helps!

But you need to add Zip Code, otherwise shipping will remain for country based. It should be Country and Zip based.

    Thank you Again!

WooCommerce Shipping Zones support zip/postal codes and Weight Based Shipping can be used with them. Is there a reason you can’t or don’t want to use shipping zones?

    Hi Developer,

First create a weight based rule for specific country.

Second, just try to change address by a new country on CART and CHECKOUT page. You will still see the weight based shipping.

Example:- Use Ethiopia as a country.
Use Ethiopia in the country and state option on woocommerce.

    Thanks.

I have created a simple setup for Ethiopia. It works for me: shows the shipping option for Ethiopia and doesn’t show it for other countries.

If the plugin doesn’t work this way in your environment the issue might be related to your current shipping configuration or other plugins/theme. To figure that out please gather the following details.

NOTE: I am adding Shipping rules using Weight Based Shipping. BUT you are adding rules inside the default woocommerce shipping editor. Even in this case: The demo link you sent me, I am unable to change the demo account profile. It is restricted. So there is no way to change the country and to see the test result on your demo site.

    Just do this:

    1. Create a new shipping method using Woocommerce Shipping Zone
–> Ethiopia and zip codes 1000,1150, and 1230

    2. Now go to Weight Based Shipping and Create a new shipping zone with Ethiopia.

    3. Go to CART and CHECK OUT page and change the zip code to 2000 (NOT EXIST).

Result: You can still see the weight based shipping zone which was set to serve only 1000, 1150, and 1230.

Solution 1: You need to add a zip code option on weight based shipping. NO NEED TO FETCH FROM WOOCOMMERCE.

Solution 2: Show the weight based shipping for ONLY matched zip codes with the default woocommerce shipping zone.

    Thanks.

    Finally,

I understood that there are two ways of adding shipping rules using Weight Based Shipping Plugin.

    1. Adding inside the default Woocommerce Shipping Zone Editor.
    2. The Global Shipping Rule using the Weight Based Shipping TAB.
    1. The 1st one filters the Zip code for a specific country.
    2. The 2nd one is a Global rule and doesn’t filter the zip code but works with the country. If this is NOT a global rule, you should fix it, otherwise, it is fine.

I recommend this plugin to others 100% and also give you a 5 STAR Rate.
If I have some other issue, I will reopen or create another support ticket.

    Thanks Again Dan!

    Indeed!

Thank you for your suggestion about zip codes support. Will think about it.
