    Error establishing a database connection

    Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
    Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?
    Are you sure that the database server is running?

    for a local installation (if you’re trying to get a testbed working on your home computer and have php/apache/mysql installed) try changing the config settings to
    dbname = whatever you named the database
    username = root
    password = (leave this blank)
    db host = localhost
