uploading my content

    Hi,
    I have wiped my WP and started anew.
    Is there a way to upload all my content, which I have on my desktop.
    I’m not sure which files in there mean what.
    Does it matter that I created the pages and posts and such under a different web address than the one I am using now?

    just to clarify, i did not formally backup my files. I copied them from my FTP, so I have all the wp-content, etc files in a folder on my computer. Not sure how to upload everything into my current WP install.
