Uploading header image in wordpress

    I am new to using WordPress and getting along pretty well but I am having trouble understanding how to load a header image. I have a jpeg header image that I would like to use. I have read the support from wordpress.org on changing this but when I get to the general settings page I do not know where to go to change the code and upload the image as a header.

    Does your theme have a custom header option? Look under Admin/Appearance

    Hi! I have the same question, as well.

    Esmi, the theme I’m using doesn’t have a custom header and simply takes the name of the WordPress and places it at the top of the page. Figure I probably have to edit the header.php file — would you know how I can go about doing this?
