Uploaded images aren't working anymore?

    A few days ago, images I uploaded via WordPress have simply stopped showing up. The thumbnails in the media manager don’t even show up and when I try to add them to a post or page, I just get a link that, when clicked on, opens my lightbox to display the photo. It’s really unnerving and I need a solution quickly.

    Here’s a screenshot of what it’s looking like.

    What has changed recently ?
    When you look at your page source, and see a link which should be an image, what is the address, does it correspond to where the images are ?
    Have you tried viewing your pages from a different computer ? Different browser ?

    Honestly can’t think of any major changes. I updated a few plugins a few days ago, but nothing that has any direct link to media. The images are showing up in posts sometimes now, so I don’t think that linking is completely broken. Just the thumbnail aspect, it seems.

    Hi,

    Have you tried uploading a new image? If the thumbnail shows up for the new image then you can try regenerating the thumbnails using Regenerate Thumbnails plugin.

    I deleted a bunch of plugins that I wasn’t using anymore and ran a thumbnail regeneration tool. Everything seems to be working just fine now. So weird.

    In most cases, disappearance of thumbnails are cause by themes or plugins but can’t really identify which so we normally use the Regenerate Thumbnails plugin.
