Upload large audio files to WordPress

    We have large audio files (larger than 32 MG) that we need to upload to http://www.hockeytalk.biz. The only way to do this with our host is via FTP. Once we have the file in our folder in our Go Daddy hosting account whats the best and easiest way to get the files from the folder and into our wp-admin media library?

    In order for files to be used with the library functions it needs to be uploaded using the library…We do not however have to use the library, we can upload to a folder and link to such files…or if we have an audio player include the proper path to the uploaded file….

    That said, you may also be able to increase the max file upload size with a php5.ini file:

    upload_max_filesize = 64M

    Here you go:
    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/add-from-server/

    You can upload to your own folder/s inside your uploads folder, if you wish, then this plugin will take care of registering the files. The last I knew, it was necessary to always check “Current Time” when you do that, and that is what I always still do.

    THANK YOU for the suggestion of Add from Server! I’ve been struggling with playing some files on my page and this did the trick! So grateful!
