• hey sorry to bother you guys .. but i’m having trouble with wordpress .. recently i tried to upload a photo to wordpres but, after the upload complete bar it said HTTP ERROR..
    it was a png format photo .. i thought maybe its the wrong format, so i tried with jpeg.. but its still giving me the error .. can you guys please tell me how i can fix this?

  • Hi Alex,

    There could be a couple of things causing this error:

    1) Try decreasing the size of the image, if it’s a very large one.
    2) Make sure you don’t have an apostrophe in the image name
    3) If you are using an image optimizer plugin, try to disable it.
    4) try increasing your memory limit

    1. its just a 4mb pic
    2. no apostrophe
    3 not using any kind of image optimizer
    4. limit is already 64mb .
    sadly its still not working

    Ok, try increasing the memory limit to 128mb or 256mb, is your hosting you using mod_security, if so try disabling it and see if that helps.

    Did you make any recent changes to your theme/plugins?

    This error is commonly caused by an over-aggressive configuration of your server’s mod_security module. Try asking your hosts about it.

    I ran into the same problem and it turned out I had the photo set to CMYK instead of RGB
