Upload from localhost: a few simple questions

    being my first web build I have a few final questions before uploading to host.
    As all my links are localhost/…
    how does this effect these links when uploaded.
    Concern is the child css I have added to get certain images etc.
    What are the final steps to website build before uploading.
    Example – I have read that SEO yoast should be used as well as cache plugin. I have finished my site but can I still install these plug ins at the end of build?.
    Security is a concern – any plugins or tips on this before uploading?
    Any other professional/experieced advise would be greatly appreciated.

    The main concern is your links. Replace all of them with your site’s URL using a search and replace function. This applies even to links in CSS – if you want the child theme to inherit from parent, the links there should correspond to that. As regards plugins, you can upload/ install before or after importing to your live site.
