Upgrading to PHP5 (with libXML support)

    I’ve asked my webprovider (Allwebco) to upgrade my PHP to PHP5+ (with libXML support) so I can take advantage of some plugins that need this support.

    Is there anything I should do prior to the upgrade?

    I know I should backup my site and DB, but anything else?

    Also, can somebody recommend the best plugin for backing up my DB?
