Hi @bradcooper2112,
Thank you for reaching out,
Version 0.1 is the previous version of the plugin.
Since then we entirely re-wrote the plugin.
To answer your question, yes you should uninstall the previous plugin.
Please also take note that the previous plugin and the new one don’t have the same feature-set, so I suggest you try the plugin out on a staging environment 😉
Please let me know if there is anything I can help you with, you are saying the new one doesn’t work, could you give us more details? Could it be that you expect it to work as a drop in replacement of the previous plugin?
Cheers,
Ok. Do we need to clear out the current record set in Algolia before we install the new plugin, or will the latest version work with the record set created by the new install?
No need to clear the old records, you can do that directly via the Algolia dashboard.
That being said, as explained, you should try the new plugin out locally before pushing it live. There is no compatibility whatsoever between version 0.1 and the first public version 1.1.
Note that we will limit the backward compatibility issues from now on.
Let me know how it goes, I’d gladly help you out if you encounter issues 😉
Cheers,
