upgrade issues

    I am having someone work on my site and they are having issues with uploading my site. This is what they said:

    “we want to deploy its asking for upgrade
    and its different in my window than the client window
    anyone know whats going on?”

    So can anyone help? I know he mentioned they were asking for a credit card to charge $5.00 to upgrade too, I have the latest wordpress so I do not understand this, when I login to my wordpress there is nothing that says that but on his window in my wordpress it does. Does this make sense? thank you

    Can you provide more details such as a URL for your site? WordPress.org (this place) doesn’t charge for anything. It’s all free so I would be very wary about any credit card fee.

    Yes it is an existing site, I just recently had an new theme installed but they never finished the site so now I have someone else working on it and this is what they are saying. My site is http://www.fitnessandkids.com

    You do seem to be using the latest version of WordPress. Are you seeing any upgrade notices when you login to the site?

    no I am not, he is saying only on his end when he logs in he is seeing it.

    It is my site so I guess so, but is there a way to check if I have full admin access?

    I sent you a facebook message, what is going on why do posts here get deleted? I thought this was a place to go for help? I asked a question and I am told to hire someone? what kind of help is that? I don’t get what these forums are for then?

    They are for public discussions that benefit the greater WordPress community and not for soliciting off-forum support.

    ok well I was not getting support so someone offered off the forums. can I just get someone here who knows what the problem is?

    and you have been getting help – from unpaid volunteers who are trying to help others in their free time. If this level of support is not suitable for you needs, then you may want to consider hiring someone. Otherwise, you have to be patient and wait.

    And please do not respond to attempts to solicit work or contact via these forums. If anyone does post such a solicitation (as @warcoderslegacy did), asks for admin access to your site or suggests that you use any site other than http://directory.codepoet.com/ or http://jobs.wordpress.net/ please add a modlook tag to the topic. A forum moderator will be along shortly to remove the offending post and deal with the poster in question.

    @warcoderslegacy: I strongly recommend that you read the Forum_Welcome before posting again. Especially sections 1.13, 1.17 and 1.21.
