I seem to be having the same problem. Since I updated the plugin this morning, when I try to open a gallery or start a slideshow, it only reloads the gallery page.

Unfortunately no, the update didn’t work.
I tried it with the updated plugin, as well. It still is not working for me, either.

If you have checked the Important update notice on http://wppa.opajaap.nl/changelog/ and it still does not work, please try with all other plugins temporary de-activated. It may be a conflict with another plugin. If this still does not help, update to the next version ( 4.9.10 ), available today or tomorrow. I will put some more diagnostics in. Please keep debug switch on.

OK – I checked that notice and did that but I don’t know if Control+F5 does anything on a Mac. I also deactivated ALL plugins for a moment except this one and it still did not work, so I don’t think it’s a conflict.
I do hope your next update clears this up as we really want to use this!

If you came from a version prior to 4.9.3 and you have a customized wppa-theme.php in your theme directory, you will have this problem.
If so, please remove the wppa-theme.php from your theme directory. This will fix it.
A check on this is done and a one time warning is shown at update time. You may have missed it. There will be a better diagnostic on this in the next version.

I removed the file – but the problem persists.
If you run Table VIII-A2: Backup settings, you generate a settings.bak file in your personal depot directory. e.g. wp-content/wppa-depot/admin/settings.bak

and the plugin is missing from the plugin folder and i cannot re-instal it.
any ideas
