UpdraftPlus – first backup fails

    Hi! I just installed UpdraftPlus for backups, but when I try to run the first backup, I get an error message in a popup window:

    Unexpected response: <script type="text/javascript">
 var msgList = ''; 
 try{ window.parent.addError('There appears to be an unauthorized attempt from this site to access your database located at https://cityoperavancouver.com.  The attempt has been halted.'); } catch(e) { msgList += ' There appears to be an unauthorized attempt from this site to access your database located at https://cityoperavancouver.com.  The attempt has been halted.';}
 
 if ( msgList ) alert(msgList); 
 </script>

    Strange that this doesn’t just display as a user-friendly message, but either way… is this coming from Wordfence?

    Hi,

    Yes, possibly a conflict with one of your plugins. Can you temporarily deactivate and see if the message goes away?

    Yes, I realized that another plugin to back up the DB was still active – once I turned it off, backups seem to be happening with no problems.
