• I have a music based wordpress site that has been running for a number of years. When I set it up I used the old Audio Player 2.0 flash based player.

I’d love to upgrade to an HTML5 player but all my short code links follow this format [audio:] which don’t work with the default player or any plug in ones as far as I can see.

I have literally hundreds of sound samples on my website and it’s not practical to change them all. I’m sure it’s possible to introduce the [audio:] shortcode but my very limited understanding means I haven’t succeeded in making it work>

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Many thanks
    Tim

  • The short codes are controlled by the Plugin. You’ll have to upgrade to another plugin and change all of the short codes to match the new players instructions. This might be achieved by doing a search and replace on the database. Are the sound files hosted on your server?
