An automated WordPress update has failed to complete – please attempt the update again now.

Is at the top of my site… It wont allow me to upgrade,
What do I do?

Try a manual upgrade.

honestly I’m a rookie at this!
I dont know the first thing about the manuel upgrade. 🙁
I have a mac computer and i know how to unzip the file after that I’m lost.

Okay so i just went through the HOW MANUALLY upgrade.
Do I have to contact my host to see if they have my site has been backed up?

You can backup the database and the files yourself. Once you have done that, carefully follow the manual upgrade instructions. Since you now have a backup, you can always restore from it if anything goes wrong.

I recommend that you use Cyberduck for your FTP client.
