Updating plugin fails

    I have version 4.4.3 installed, and am trying to update to 4.4.5, but the update fails.

    I get the following error message:
    An error occurred while updating The Events Calendar: Could not copy file. the-events-calendar/lang/the-events-calendar-it_IT.po

    Can anyone suggest how to resolve this?

    HEY @wordpress I DID NOT SUBSCRIBE TO THIS TOPIC CAN YOU PLEASE STOP EMAILING IT TO ME?!?! I GOT OVER 700 EMAILS FROM WORDPRESS LAST MONTH. PLEASE CHECK THE CODE – IF WE SUBSCRIBE TO ONE TOPIC SOME OF US ARE GETTING VIRTUALLY ALL OF THEM.

    Click on the subscriptions that show there and then click on the unsubscribe buttons/links.

    It seems you’ve subscribed to the forums for six plugins.

    Hi @ijlwebsolutions – are you still hitting problems while trying to upgrade? It sounds rather like a file permissions issue and so it may be worth seeking some assistance from your web host.
