Thanks for that. Can you tell me more about how you got to this “footer menu”. Is it an option within the wp-admin menu system – i.e. Settings – General. Or did you use a separate plugin?

You don’t need a separate plugin.
There are two ways to install a footer menu:
1. Design – Customizer – Menues
or
2. Design – Menues
In both places you find a button “new menu” (I don’t exactly know the labelling in English because I use the German version), where you can produce your menu with your own entries, and afterwards you can choose the position of the menu (footer).

I see it works well on your page – but maybe the developers of the theme have still more and better ideas about the issue.
When I looked at the google map on your website I thought of how small this world has become – to communicate between Perth in Australia and Gießen in Germany without even noticing…
