Updating failed when adding shortcode

    I cannot seem to use shortcodes via the shortcode block in gutenberg, I keep getting updating failed error when tryning to save the shortcode, not sure what is going wrong.

    Hi,

    thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.

    I’m afraid that this is likely a server issue, but nothing directly in TablePress (as TablePress is not involved when editing a page in Gutenberg).
    I can therefore only suggest to maybe check the server error log files for more information, maybe with the help of your webhost’s support team.

    Thanks for the speedy reply….the issue only occurs when using the tablepress shortcode other shortcodes work fine.

    The shortcode i am using is a simple one:

    [table id=2 /]

    Hi,

    ok, that sounds strange. If possible, I’d like to take a direct look at this on your site. Could you therefore please get in touch via email (the address is in the main plugin file “tablepress.php”)? That way, I can investigate this directly. Thanks!

    Hi,

    for others finding this thread: It seems like some files were missing or corrupted. Re-installing TablePress from a fresh download resolved this issue 🙂

    I can confirm the issue was resolved, and was not caused by the plugin.

    Have used the plugin for many years without any issues.
