updated links

    Hi.

    I have the “Updated (shown in title regardless)” box checked but none of the links ever show as updated. Is there a plugin available that will do this? I have searched but been unable to find one.

    This feature used to work really well in version 1.2.2. Unfortunately, starting in 1.5, changes were made, supposedly to decrease the amount of traffic criscrossing the Internet, and weblogs.com was discontinued as the source of that updated data in favor of pingomatic.com. There is a plugin called either update-blogroll or blogroll-update that helps, but even with it activated, the updated links category feature of the get_links_list() (blogroll) still doesn’t work nearly as well as the old system in 1.2.2.

    It is still doable with 1.5.x and no extra plugins.
    See here though it may not work and you need access to you database via mySQL or similar.
