  • We are having the same problem with 2.0.2.
How do we revert back to 2.0.1 ?

This is strange. After looking at what I changed I can’t see why it would do that. Can you post a link to your site where the problem is happening?

Ok this is the site home page http://itonlinelearning.co.uk

I did follow the guide on your site for the reverting back to ver 2.0.1 but now its duplicating the text in the rotator.

The same thing happened to me as well. http://chris-melinda.com

I also reverted back to version 2.0.1 and it’s working again. Will update once it’s fixed. Thank you. https://halgatewood.com/docs/plugins/testimonial-rotator/reverting-older-version-plugin/

I had the same problem with version 2.0.1 — rotator stopped rotating. Went back to 2.0.1 and now the title in my widget won’t show up. See at http://www.debbielachusa.com in the right sidebar. Should say Testimonials and have a rule above the rotating testimonials. Worked before. Now can’t get it to show up.

Not sure what is going here. The differences between 2.0.1 and 2.0.2 are very small and shouldn’t have caused that kind of problem. If any of you are feeling adventurous could you please upgrade to 2.0.2 and then go back into your rotator settings in the admin and resave them?

2.0.2 was supposes to fix the speed of the rotation and the time between testimonials. Perhaps your versions are missing those numbers for some reason and cause it to not rotate. 2.0.2 also fixed the widget title issue so you will need to update for that fix.

2.0 Added many new features in the admin for the testimonial rotator. So please check those out and make sure they are correct. They are located in the admin under ‘Testimonials’ -> ‘All Rotators’

I will try that tonight during a low traffic time for the web site in question.

Meanwhile, a cursory look at file comparisons between the current version 2.0.2 and the previous one I had (thought it was 2.0.1, but turns out it was 1.4. I’d forgotten that I’d also had to revert earlier due to other upgrade issues previously) is showing some CSS differences. Which could easily account for the display issues in any site not using out-of-the-box css for the rotator.

    Hal that worked, thanks.

Testimonials -> All Rotators -> Click “Edit” under the rotator you use, then click “Update”. Don’t even need to change anything first if you don’t want to.
