If your custom styles are not applied maybe the block class code-block-8b9b0e566cb5fb9be0209659cd171a67 is not present on the page (it should be in the <head> section and contain your CSS code).
The easiest way to find the cause of the problem would be to check your website.
Please submit a ticket and refer to this thread and I’ll try to help you.
But I haven’t added anything special to <head> in 2.2.10
The css is added from the option in the plugin itself
The block class is being created by 2.2.12

The plugin should generate the classes for code blocks.
But you haven’t posted web address so I can’t check.

For other placements I’ve added margin-bottom and stuff which also fail after updating

Unless I check your website with the latest plugin I can’t determine the cause of the problem.
Nevertheless, I added an option to force inline alignment styles (instead of classes) for cases like yours.
Please download and install this version:
https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/ad-inserter.zip
Then go to general plugin settings: tab * / tab General
and set Inline styles to Enabled.
This will force generation of inline alignment styles.
However, I would really appreciate if you could provide a way to check your website (using ticket form mentioned above).

With the latest version 2.2.13 the problems with alignments should be fixed.
