We initially developed in a staging area before migrating the site to the live domain, however, all of the images retained the staging path, rather than updating to the live path.

A Better Search and Replace doesn’t seem to locate the image paths, so how can the image paths updated?

    Hi @thinkdm2,

I think you need to use the WordPress inbuilt Import and Export tool for that.

    Localhost WordPress Admin Dashboard:
Admin Menu > Tools > Export – Export the slider in XML file

    Live Website WordPress Admin Dashboard:
Admin Menu > Tools > Import – import the slider XML file

Note: Keep WordPress uploads directory same for the live website as local.

Hope this will work for you.

    Thanks

Gave this a try, but the import doesn’t seem to overwrite the existing sliders saying each one “already exists.”

Where is the slider information stored, if not in the database?

And why not just use a relative path for the image to avoid this issue?
