    I’m sorry to hear that – it’s never great to lose custom work following an update.

    To clarify, though, was this an update to your theme rather than to our own plugin? Updating The Events Calendar in of itself will have no impact on the content of your theme directory.

    If it was indeed because you are using a commercial theme and that was updated, our apologies: I can only suggest that you use a child theme if appropriate instead. The best avenue is to follow the advice of the theme author in relation to customizing the theme in these circumstances (which very often is to use a child theme).
