    Hello! This is a great plugin, but it looks like it hasn’t been updated in over 2 months and it’s currently crashing our site. Not sure if it’s not compatible with the updated wordpress or PHP Version. We’re on 8.2 but we’ve experimented with 8.3, 8.4, and 8.5 and it’s still crashing the site.

    Can you please provide an update? Thanks!

    Hi there,

    Crash means that there is а fatality error generated from PHP, ( error log) can you please provide it here so i can check it ?

    @awesomefootnotes Thanks for the quick reply. We reviewed the PHP logs and we’re not seeing anything. So I should be more clear. The site isn’t crashing, but the page layout is breaking. When we activate the plugin, it pushes the site design down and has a lot of text that looks like the table of contents at the top. Not sure what’s happening. But when we deactivate the plugin, the layout/design goes back to normal.

    Unfortunately, without seeing it in action, I won’t be able to help you, as it is sounds like CSS problem / conflict of some kind.

    One thing you can try if you are not using the TOC functionality, goto Table of contents -> General and disable the module (admin.php?page=awef_settings#awef-options-tab-general-toc). This way you can at least isolate if that comes from the TOC module or Footnotes plugin functionality. But what exactly is conflicting with your current theme / plugins is hard to guess.

    If you have some sandbox site somewhere, I can check the given page
