I have a store that sells “make it your own” clothing. No product is sold without the customer choosing their preferred print, print colour etc. 1000’s of variations are available to custom made the products.

With the latest update variations colour and size were added to the listing page and also the ability to add a product directly to the cart. That overrides the required fields I have made with add-ons and enables the customer to buy products without print. As printed clothing is what we are we can not have that.

How can I disable the variations and “Select Options” on the listing page and get the button back that takes the customer to the product page instead?

I have looked through all settings and just can’t figure it out.

The exact same thing happened to another page I am building that has a similar structure.

I’m unsure of what you mean by this. Can you link us to a page where we can see this behavior?

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.

I thought I replied and added a link to explain what my problem is. Sorry if it wasn’t posted.

This is my shop page: https://www.go-tell.co.uk/shop/

I want to remove the ability to add something to the cart from this page as I want the customer to choose add-ons on the single product page before they make a purchase.

This was added in the last update I think. Before I had a “view product” or “read more” link. The same happened to a customer of mine where the same feature of add-ons is required before purchase.

@henitadesign I see what you mean now. The variation options can be selected from the archive page, instead of requiring the customer to view the full product.

This behavior is not part of the core WooCommerce plugin. I suspect this is functionality that is added to your store by your theme.

You can verify this by temporarily switching the theme of your site to the default Storefront theme, then check to see if those options are gone.

If you confirm this is coming from your theme, you’ll want to look at your theme settings for any options that could help you remove this. Otherwise, you might contact the theme developer to ask for assistance.

If the feature isn’t coming from the theme, you might try disabling all plugins on the site, except for WooCommerce; to verify whether the option could be coming from another theme.

Okay thank you so much. Will check the theme first as both sites use the same theme.

    I found it!
It was not the theme it was the YITH Product Add-ons and there is a way to disable and get the default button back.
