    Hi,

Using Elementor Pro 2.9.4 (i.e. the latest build), Stripe Payment Gateway and TWINT (payment portal for Swiss users).

I recently did a clean reinstall of Storefront 2.5.6 and Woocommerce 4.1.0, and find that suddenly my Update Cart button is permanently disabled. (On my site, it’s called Mes Achats.)

As I am using the theme Storefront-Child, my first step was to switch to Storefront, and the same thing happens with the parent theme!

I see that this has happened to other users from time to time over the years, often after a software update. I am familiar with CSS – but there is no easy “enable” attribute to add when this happens.

The only plugins I am using are these payment ones, plus Elementor and BackWPup. My Woocommerce/Status page doesn’t show anything bad, and Chrome Devtools console reveals no errors either.

    Any other ideas?
    Thanks,
    SP

  • Hey there!

This kind of problem is usually caused by either a conflict with another plugin.

The best way to determine this is to:

    • Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce
    • Repeat the action that is causing the problem

If you’re not seeing the same problem after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the plugins you deactivated. To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict. You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here.

    Hi @fevered,

If I deactivate Elementor and Elementor Pro, I cannot see my Cart page at all – surely this is not what you intend?

    Thanks

OK – I think maybe I didn’t realize this was a feature not a bug. It seems that I can click once on the Update Cart button, but not a second time. For now I will leave it as is because I have more serious issues suddenly coming up.

    Thanks for your help!

I’ve already referred to this in another thread, but by default, it doesn’t (shouldn’t) require Elementor to show your cart page.

If you have a page in your site that contains that [woocommerce_cart] shortcode, and you’ve set it as the Cart page under WooCommerce → Settings → Advanced, your cart page should work.

    Hi @senff,

Thanks very much for this. I replied to you on that other thread. It is possible I am using a rather convoluted way to create my pages …

Hi @senff – just to clarify one thing: the issue is that my Cart page DOES work, but it seems to be the only one apart from the shop page itself. All other internal links – to Checkout, from the shop page to a particular product category, etc etc go to the Cart page instead!
