I’m sorry about that. Let me look into it.
What is your PHP version?
henryavl,
I have released a quick update, version 2.0.1, which should tell you whether your system can run Twitter Feed or not (without breaking…).
Sorry for the inconvenience.
PHP Version: 5.3.28
Zend Engine: 2.3.0
PHP Memory Limit: 128M
I am not sure what this has to do with it. Been running your previous version for months without problem. Right now I have disabled the plugin by renaming the directory, so you want me to delete it and install the 2.o1? What happens to my previous settings?
I will wait for reply before updating….
Thanks
Also, I have another site that I am holding the update until we can figure this out.
Twitter Feed 2.0 requires PHP >= 5.4.3. Your PHP version is too old and therefore it breaks.
The update just prevents it from breaking if the PHP version is too old and prints a message asking you to update your PHP version.
I would recommend updating your PHP version even if you don’t plan using Twitter Feed.
We plan on using the plugin, I have put in a support request to get the php upgraded, so I should know where this stands tomorrow, in the mean time, can I get a copy of the older version to keep the web pages working?
Thanks
Henry
Sure, you can download any version from here: Twitter Feed Downloads
Ok, updated php and it works. Perhaps plugin authors should warn users when they are upgrading plugin and a dependency like php version changes.
Thanks
It was my mistake, I didn’t test it on older PHP versions.
I am glad to hear everything was resolved.
