Just updated to latest version from 3.6.5. Front end clicked on gallery and just stays on home page. Back end threw invalid response when clicking on Sunshine. Now getting “The plugin sunshine-photo-cartBACK/sunshine-photo-cart.php has been deactivated due to an error” Not quite sure where the BACK comes from.

Solved. The update made it clash with another plugin :'(

Glad you were ultimately able to get it sorted.

Were you able to figure out which plugin things were conflicting with or what caused it to add ‘BACK’ to the folder name? I want to ensure this doesn’t affect others as well.

The plugin was Toolset. Now trying to do away with that because it was conflicting with Sunshine, but having a huge problem. Although they say a big update is coming, I have a feeling the conflict might not be resolved.

No idea what in Sunshine plugin update made it conflict, been perfectly ok working together for years.

No idea about the ‘BACK’ bit!

Did you get any specific error messages I could look into? You can enable debugging to see those error messages in a log file:
    https://developer.wordpress.org/advanced-administration/debug/debug-wordpress/

Prior to updating no error messages from WPdebug nor Sunshine

After updating Sunshine, on front end clicking on gallery in navigation does not go anywhere, link is correct, just does not work. I ONLY update Sunshine, no other plugins nor WP (currently on 6.9.4)

In back end I click on Sunshine and get “Invalid post type”

Then Sunshine disables with message “The plugin sunshine-photo-cartBACK/sunshine-photo-cart.php has been deactivated due to an error: Plugin file does not exist.”

No other error messages. I disable Toolset plugin and can then activate Sunshine, but the following errors appear

Is Sunshine Photo Cart still active on your site? One of the error entries says it was deactivated. Nothing should automatically deactivate it. If it is deactivated, then that makes sense why no links would work – it’s not in use on the site.

After updating it still showed as active. Front end link wouldn’t work.

I went to back end and clicked on sunshine – it was then that it came up with Invalid message and automatically deactivated itself.

“The plugin sunshine-photo-cartBACK/sunshine-photo-cart.php has been deactivated due to an error: Plugin file does not exist.”

It is on a staging site that I can give you access to if you wish

On your staging site, I recommend simply deleting the ‘sunshine-photo-cartBACK’ folder entirely and make sure there is not another ‘sunshine-photo-cart’ folder (remove this as well if there is). You will not lose Sunshine data by deleting the folder.

Then install the Sunshine Photo Cart plugin again – start fresh. It will see the existing data and use it all.

OK, so this is really weird, but I seem to have it finally working without reinstalling.

I have no idea what the problem was but this time, after the plugin auto deactivated I reactivated it and it was fine. It’s not conflicting with Toolset. I never did see a folder  ‘sunshine-photo-cartBACK’

I’ve now updated the live site and it’s all good.

Thank you so much for your help. Much appreciated
