    DUDE!!!! This update completely breaks how you were displaying links in the menu bar on the left side of the page. Instead of all the links being in black with the current page shown in bold, links now display in that ugly ass plain jane blue & purple. Why did you can change that?!?!?!!? I need that back as it breaks the functionality of my website. Can you PLEASE walk me through how to change that back in the CSS or issue a new update that restores that functionality?

    ALSO: The Cycle plugin is STILL broken in this newest update. The only way that I can get photos to display without the theme completely breaking is to use type="vert-scroll" and even then that only work when editing and saving pages in Text Mode. I can’t even use your theme in Visual mode.

    This error code is still appearing:

    Fatal error: Cannot redeclare solofolio_cyclereact_thumbs_style() (previously declared in eyeofvoir.com/wp-content/themes/solofolio/includes/gallery-cyclereact.php:16) in eyeofvoir.com/wp-content/themes/solofolio/includes/gallery-cyclereact.php on line 22

    Again, I’m using your just released update version 7.0.94 on WordPress version 4.1 with all plugins disabled.

    ALSO A REQUEST: Move the copyright notice to under the menu bar so that it’s in full view. Your current implementation of it where it’s in the bottom-right corner AND must be moused over in order to even see the information doesn’t work because 1) the text is way way way too small….no one will even see that down there. 2) Requiring a mouseover action instead of putting it in full view is a good way for someone to say they didn’t know that the photographs were copywitten because THEY COULDN’T SEE THE INFORMATION.

    It’s just bad UX design from a user standpoint.

    I really, really, really like your theme….definitely one of the better ones in the past year. Help me out please, I’d like to keep using it.

    iamtrevoir.com,

    Thank you for your feedback.

    You’re more than welcome to download the previous version and use that instead:
    https://wordpress.org/themes/download/solofolio.7.0.73.zip

    Please re-render your css by saving the customizer. I am unable to reproduce the link color issue you mention when looking at your site.

    I have dozens of sites with working Cycle galleries running 7.0.93. I cannot provide specific guidance on that issue due to the variance in WordPress environments. It very well could be an issue resulting from your hosting setup.

    You are welcome to add your copyright information to the menu bar as a Text widget. You can hide the existing copyright information with the following CSS:

    .footer {
    display: none !important;
    }

    That being said, copyright information is fairly superfluous on most websites. If you really want to protect your images, watermark them and register them with the copyright office.

    I’m confident in my design/functionality decisions for SoloFolio. It’s a free theme, so you’re welcome to use something else if you don’t agree with them.

    Just to follow up:

    I’ve been able to reproduce the colors fix. I’ve submitted an update fixing the issue. In the mean time, you can download the newest version, .96, here: https://github.com/joelhawksley/SoloFolio/archive/master.zip

    THANK YOU! My intention wasn’t to disrespect. Again, I love your theme. The text widget in the menu bar is brilliant….don’t know why I didn’t think of that. And thank you very much on the link fix update.

    As far as the Cycle error, the error message seems to be pointing to that .php file. I’m on a standard shared host setup. My hosting company HostMantis is as vanilla as they come so I don’t think the issue is coming from my end. As this is a free theme, there may other people that are experiencing the same issue, but aren’t reporting it because they think you won’t respond. Many developers that make free themes often do not do bug fixes. Please keep an eye out for that error. It looked so cool on the demo sites that were using it, I’m salty I’m missing out on it. Thank you once again for the update!

    Glad it works for you!

    I’m receiving a very similar error.Actually it is the very same error with different hosting specific details. I’ve tried the various suggested alternate master files without the desired result. Like iamtrevoir I love this theme.

    My host is GoDaddy. Pretty sure they are not a vanilla host. Any help would be appreciated.

    Failing site is vic.mikeselbach.com

    Fatal error: Cannot redeclare solofolio_cyclereact_thumbs_style() (previously declared in /home/mikeselbach/public_html/vic/wp-content/themes/solofolio/includes/gallery-cyclereact.php:16) in /home/mikeselbach/public_html/vic/wp-content/themes/solofolio/includes/gallery-cyclereact.php on line 22

    Mike,

    Are you using the latest SoloFolio, 7.0.108?

    Joel

    Joel

    I am running SoloFolio 7.0.108, but I have also tried other SoloFollio versions as suggested in this thread. When I use a theme other than SoloFolio content is displayed without any issues. I’ve tried all of the tricks in my somewhat limited bag – any help you can provide to debug would be appreciated.

    The website is http://vic.mikeselbach.com.

    Thanks,
    Mike

    Using Jetpack is a problem. It appears that with a default jetpack configuration using wordpress.com authorization, SoloFolio will work if I deactivate everything up to the “sharing” module. Looking at Jetpack it appears that an update was installed two days ago – which explains why I didn’t have a problem until now.
