Also, all previously submitted forms have disappeared when using v6. I mean, come on. No other option than going back to v5.
A little warning in the WP Admin would have been appreciated.
Last time this happened to me, I had to create all the forms again I didn’t realize it was due to it upgrading.
Alienne can you advise if I need to completely remove plugin 6 and then install the previous version

Delete the new version, then install the older version – the link was provided by the author:
https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/custom-contact-forms.5.1.0.4.zip
The old forms are still there and come back once the old version is installed.
Thank you, Alienne. I asked this very question elsewhere. I will give this a try in the morning.
I will still look for a different plugin to use long term, but if this quick fix works, at least I can have the forms up and running again while I search for a permanent solution.
Thanks Alienne! I downgraded with the link you provided and everything is fine now. As a side note to anyone else downgrading… After I upgraded my forms disappeared. It asked me to convert the plug in (or ignore), which I accepted. After downgrading, because I did the conversion, inside my posts the [contactform=19] thing was changed to something like [css523=23] and I’d have to change it all back to its original code.
