Sorry, me again with a different but related question. We recreated the slider on the live site in preparation for porting the rest of the changes from the staging site to the live site. The arrows work fine on staging but not the live site (they are completely unstyled, no arrow image, etc.). They also work fine in the preview on both sites. The version of jQuery, the theme and the version of PHP are the same on both sites. I have tried everything on the troubleshooting page, but without success.

Here’s my question: have you ever seen a scenario in which MetaSlider didn’t output the inline styles (#metaslider-id-xxxxx .flexslider .flex-direction-nav li a, etc.) or the pseudo elements (.metaslider.ms-theme-default-base .flexslider .flex-direction-nav li a.flex-prev::after) used for the arrows?

    Hi @mjh1,
is possible to have a link to your site?

Please double check Developer options > Print CSS is enabled. This is key to output the base CSS.

    Print CSS is enabled.

The following isn’t representative, as the slider will be full width; I just did a quick and dirty test page to try and debug the unstyled arrows:

    Staging site with styled arrows:

How did you inserted the slideshow? This is key. As example: through Elementor, through a custom field, etc.

I just pasted the shortcode into WordPress using the Classic Editor.

Understood. I don’t see an obvious reason why the CSS shouldn’t load. Did you generated the live site based directly on the staging site? I wonder if something got out of sync during the process.

Please edit the slideshow, click preview button and let us know how it looks in admin.

No, the live site existed before the staging site. There are a few plugin and database differences. I tried to disabling the plugins in question per the troubleshooting page, but no success. Being a live site, I can’t disable every plugin one by one.

Preview is fine on both sites.

@mjh1 Sorry, this is more than we can easily dig into with the free support here on the WordPress forums, particular with very old version of jQuery added into the mix.

This is a site configuration so that we can probably only offer accurate advice on by logging in and checking your site directly, which is an option available to Pro members.

Ok, I understand. Let me confer with my team and report back.
