    Hi,

I am using a ecwid product shortcode as below.

[ecwid_product id=”123456″ display=”picture title price options qty addtobag”
    version=”2″ show_border=”1″ show_price_on_button=”1″ center_align=”1″]

But when I do a site audit it is giving markup errors as price is required and name is required.

    Please help me.

    Thanks

    Hey there!

This is Ecwid Team. Thank you for contacting us.

    Sorry for the delayed reply.

Could you please send me screenshots of the pages where you see errors? So I could see the errors too.

What kind of audit are you doing? How exactly?

The more information I have, the better I could help you.

    Looking forward to your reply!

It seems that the issue is caused by the missing price and name values in the integration code used for the Buy Now button added via our plugin for WordPress. I’ve already reported the problem to our developers so they could check this out and apply a fix in one of the future updates of our plugin. We’ll reach out to you as soon as it is fixed.

Meanwhile, I can suggest a workaround:

    1) remove the product widgets from this page https://bedkings.com.au/mattress-sale-online-in-store/

    2) use different versions of the integration code for these products. You can find them in the Ecwid Control Panel > Catalog > Products > Edit Product > Buy Now button.

    3) Add the codes for the buttons in the HTML section of your WordPress page, save the changes and republish your site. Just in case, here is the instruction on how you can change your WordPress pages’ HTML: https://wpbuffs.com/edit-source-code-in-wordpress/.

You can resubmit the page in your Google Webmaster tool, the errors should be gone. Please refer to this article to learn how you can do that: https://www.searchenginejournal.com/resubmit-sitemaps-after-content-changes/267685/.

I would like to clarify what I meant by “use different versions of the integration code for these products”.

The workaround I suggest is to use the integration code for Buy Now buttons from the Ecwid admin panel, not from the plugin.

You can find the code in your Ecwid admin > Catalog > Products > open the product > click Buy Now button > copy the code. On that page, you can tick different things you want to see on your Buy Now button and see how it changes. So there are different versions of the code depending on what you tick there. However, eventually, you copy one code and paste it in the HTML section of your WordPress page.

I hope it explains my previous message. Have a great day!
