    Hi
    Recently I have eperienced some serious issues with wordpress, it started with whitescreens but my host resolved that. The my apps became unresponsive but we found emptying my cache and doing a hard reload resolved that but then I was having to do this more and more to the point it is unusable. My host suggested turning Worfence off and now WordPress seems to be working absolutely fine. I would like the security of wordfence but I need it looked at before I can use it again as there is no point of security of a site that isnt being used. Thanks

    In my experience (pro blogger), sometimes a chosen mix of plugins simply does not work and it’s best to just try something else. Wordfence is useful when it works, but you can stack up other security plugins along with good hosting for pretty much the same results. In fact, a case can be made that simply doing redundant verified backups can be much more cost and time effective than endless trouble shooting of security plugins. I’m struggling with that issue right now… Best wishes. MTN
