Unite Theme – how can I edit sidebar width?

    I am using the United Theme. The side bar is a bit too wide, for my preference, and I would also like the text in the sidebar to either be aligned to the right (currently everything is aligned left).

    How can I make the sidebar take up less of the page (width wise) and make the sidebar contents aligned to the right?
