Unique user roles not recognized by pool

    When my users register they are assigned a unique user role “worldcup2026”, but Football Pool plugin doesn’t seem to recognize those users as members. They keep getting “You have to be a registered user and logged in to play in this pool.”

    Is there somewhere I need to define user roles, or a setting I am missing to make sure they are able to automatically join the pool?

    Note, I have installed the extension “Football Pool Remove Admin Approval“, but still getting this issue.

    I am using Forminator Pro to register my users on the site.

    Also, I have “use Leagues” turned off.

    Hi,

    Custom roles shouldn’t matter. You can be subscriber, admin, whatever. The plugin only checks if the user is logged in, and if they’re linked in the database to my plugin. But this is all done based on User ID, not role.

    But if you have the setting “Use leagues” turned off, then you don’t need the “Football Pool Remove Admin Approval”. Did you try it without?
