    Dear,

As a brandnew freelancer digital marketing, I made my own (first) website with WordPress. No developer skills at all! However, after running Google’s Speed Test I installed Hummingbird plugin to minimize CSS and JS files. I noticed part of the CSS was not being shown anymore.

So I made sure to reset modifications made before uninstalling Hummingbird.
However, there is still CSS being blocked after uninstalling the plugin.

I have checked the wp-admin files on the FTP server for the plugin, but it is not being showed at all.

Is it useful to know I built the site with Elementor?

    How can I fix this?

    Kind regards,
    Indira

  • Hi @seostudio,

I checked your site and looked at the source code but I don’t see any mentions of Hummingbird optimized files, could you make sure that you’ve cleared your browser cache and see if everything was loaded fine after that?

If you experienced issues with CSS when using Asset Optimization I would suggest that you try doing the optimization in bulk of 5 or so files. This option can cause issues if not configured properly so after each 5 files check if site is running fine before proceeding with further optimization.
This could take a bit longer but the amount of customization allowed this way allows you to sqeeuze the most out of your site performance.

    Cheers,
    Predrag

    Hi Predag, @wpmudev-support1

    Thanks for your reply!

Yes, I have cleared cache and opened the website in incognito mode.
Meanwhile I learned that Elementor has launched an update with severe issues, so I might have to look there to solve these issues.

They launched an update the day before I installed Hummingbird. Perhaps there was a clash between the builder and the plugin?

    Best regards, Indira

    Dear Predag,

    The issue is solved, thanks!

Elementor has a problem with the Global Colors on their end.
I will run Hummingbird plugin again tomorrow.

    Kind regards,
    Indira
