    Hello,
I installed a fresh 3.9.1 version of WordPress and the wonderful theme Pictorico + the JetPack plugin. Not done anything more yet. On iPad2 I get an unexpected right margin. How do I make Pictorico fit the width in portrait view on iPad without that space on right side? Greatful for any advice.

Hi there, could you provide a screenshot of what you’re seeing? This is what I see on iPad, portrait mode:

    IOS Simulator

I’m not sure what “unexpected right margin” you’re referring to, but if you prefer not to have the light blue box next to the box that represents your first post, you can always publish a second post. Pictorico’s blog index is set up to display a grid of posts.

    Hi Kathryn, thanks for response.

I first had a lot of posts, using Pictorico with a childtheme, but backed up, cleaned the database and reinstalled everything over again, due to the “unexpected right margin” could occur from my modifications in the CSS. On your screenshot its’s gone, that’s weird.

Here is the screenshot of my iPad2 i portrait (not with childtheme) mode https://www.dropbox.com/s/8kwp5b28juld6oi/Pictorico-on-my-iPad2.PNG

    Thanks for the screenshot.

Do you see the extra space on the demo site here:

What about on this demo site:

On my iPad2 the extra space does not appear on http://pictoricodemo.wordpress.com/

But on http://wp-themes.com/pictorico/ the same space on the right side occur as I see on my site…

    Thanks for the new info.

Could you please try disabling all plugins, including Jetpack, and let me know if you still see the blank space on your iPad?

If the space goes away, try reactivating your plugins one-by-one to find the culprit. For Jetpack, try reactivating each module one at a time.

Actually, let’s hold off on that since you see the problem on the theme demo site, which isn’t running any plugins.

I’m going to try to find someone with an iPad 2 to see if I can replicate the issue. I’ll keep you updated here.

Could you please confirm what browser/version and OS you’re running on your iPad 2? Thanks!

Thanks again. I just updated to iOS 7.1.2, but the same space occured on previous version of iOS for iPad.

And what browser are you using – Safari? Chrome? The latest version of either?

Aha! I finally see what you’re seeing on the WordPress.org demo site but I had to swipe (scroll) to the right to see the extra space that you do. Is that the case for you, or do you actually see the space without swiping to the right?

I’m using Safari, the latest version that followed 7.1.2.
…and yes, it looks okey until I scroll down and the page start swipe to the right…

The page looks like fill the width 100% when loaded, but when scrolling down or swiping to the right the space appears like an unnecessary “margin-right” in the background.

Thanks for confirming. I’ve reported this to our developers so they can take a look.

Thanks a lot, Kathryn! Then I hook on my childtheme again…
