Understanding Side Menu
-
This is a total newbie question, but here goes.
On the side bar menu, there are the standard things that come with a new website sidebar menu…Dashboard, posts, pages, etc. But on certain sites there are other tabs. For example, our marketing company has a restaurant client who has a tab for “Locations.”
My questions is, where is this coming from? Is this part of their custom theme? Or is this coming from a plug-in? I know you can probably only speculate, but I will say that I looked and there is no plug-in that is obviously doing this.
The reason I am asking is because the client wants something changed, but the current functioning of this tab doesn’t allow the changes they want. Thus, if I want to change its functionality, I need to know where it is coming from and I am not great with WordPress.
Any explanation for a newbie would be helpful. Thanks!
