Scripts should be included in the HTML footer before the closing body tag, not the homepage footer. In this case, you’ll need assistance from snippet plugins. You can find one here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/search/code+snippet/

It depends on the plugin you are using. Usually, when adding the snippet, it can be put on the header/footer by choosing an option. If there is, choose the footer.
Please ask for help from the plugin author if you are still confused about adding it because it is already beyond our scope.
