• Hi gVectors Team!

It seems like users with display names similar to users who are in the spam list cannot comment via wpDiscuz. When the plugin is disabled, the user is able to comment.

Is this problem only on my site or is it an existing bug? If it is not a bug, how does wpDiscuz filter comments as spam?

    Thanks for your amazing support!

Are you sure those are not the same spammer users? Why should those have the same username? If somebody is spammer it should not be allowed to comment. That’s correct. i don’t see any issue.

They actually have different usernames, but the same display names. When I tried changing the display name, they are able to post a comment. It seems like they are being filtered by display name and sent to spam box, even if they already have a previously approved comment.

They are actually not spammers, but are considered as one by wpDiscuz. When I disable the plugin, they can post a comment.

Ok, we found the issue (comes from akismet). We’ll add some changes in wpDiscuz to adapt with Akismet restrictions. It’ll be added in 2.2.7 version.
