Can you kindly rename the .htaccess file located under your base directory and check it once?
Hi, there are several .htaccess files but I renamed the one in the folder for this site and I got the following error:
Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@paint-pots.merlinmultimedia.myzen.co.uk and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
I had my hard drive replaced and can not log on to /wp-admin. I reregistered and can not get to a point to log on with the new password.
Not being able to login has nothing to do with the hard drive you had replaced.
You probably recently updated a plugin that took down your site. I would start your own thread and request help from someone. It is a very common issue.

Try to remove the root directory .htaccess file only
