How did you go about changing the root media folder? Did you add
define('UPLOADS', 'wp-content/media');
to your wp-config.php file?

From the ‘Settings’ under the main WordPress backend, I changed the “Store uploads in this folder” to be “wp-content/media” instead of “wp-content/uploads”
I’ve now added the text you’ve suggested. “Add New Folders” recognized the change, but “Media Library +” just keeps ‘Loading …’ as before.

I’ve added the line you suggested to the wp-config.php file.
The plugin says the following:
Scaning for new folders in /home/nikana2000/public_html/battle-calculator.com/wp-content/media
Adding http://battle-calculator.com/wp-content/mediaikana2000/public_html/battle-calculator.com/wp-content/media/2016
Adding http://battle-calculator.com/wp-content/mediaikana2000/public_html/battle-calculator.com/wp-content/media/2016/10
However the plugin keeps spinning to load. See image here:

Also, the permission on the “media” folder is 0755 (same as “uploads”)

I’ve moved on to another plugin… no need to respond for my benefit anymore.
