Can I get a link to your site. I am having a hard time envisioning what you mean. Are these tabs generated using a plugin or code or are they part of the theme? If they are part of your theme, perhaps the theme author can assist.
Thanks for your response. Giving you a link to the site won’t help, I don’t think. This is when I log in to Word Press and then I go under the Appearance Menu and click on ‘menus.” Within this area is where I’m able to make edits to the tabs that appear on our website. I’ve never had trouble making edits in here, but for some reason all of the tabs are ‘dead’ now and I can’t edit them. But, here is our website: http://www.center4specialneeds.org. Thank you
I wasn’t sure; but you were talking about menu tabs on your web site. Are those tabs still on the site and it’s just that you cannot change them?
Can you see them to edit them on the backend using another browser?
Sorry for confusion. Yes, so on our site we have an Events tab at the top. Under there, you’ll see various sub menus for the events. When I sign into Word Press, I’m usually able to go to the Appearance Menu and make changes to all the menu tabs that appear on our site. Yesterday, I tried removing some of the sub category tabs on the site, because those events have already taken place and we wanted to update this section. In Word Press, I’m unable to remove the menu tabs. I’m unable to do anything to them. I used to see an arrow to the right of the tab (in Word Press) and click on that arrow and an editing menu would open underneath the tab. It would allow me to remove the tab, etc. Currently, that arrow does not appear at all and there is no edit menu appearing. So, it’s as if that feature was completely removed from our Word Press. I don’t know how to make edits to our tabs now. I’m sorry if this sounds confusing. I don’t know any other way to explain it. Thank you for your time.
Have you recently added a plugin? If so, try disabling that and see if you can edit your menus. Also try clearing your browser’s cache, or using another browser to see if the problem goes away and you can at lest get at your menus to make your edits.
Thank you for the suggestions. I just tried those ideas. I also tried using a completely different computer and it’s still doing the same thing. I’m at a loss here. I did an update yesterday to WordPress 4.1.1 and that’s when this issue started. I’m not sure how to revert back to the previous version, if it will even let me. Not sure if the update caused it, but it’s too coincidental to not correlate the two. I really do appreciate your time. Thank you.
