Whois Lookup not working

    I am using the latest Wordfence version 4.0.1.

    From Whois Lookup, when scanning any IP address or domain I get the same results “Sorry, but no data for that IP or domain was found.”

    The site has minimal other plugins and no caching enabled.

    Any solution or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,

    Thanks, I suspect the WHOIS library is not working on your system. Do you have access to your error log? Of so please check if there are any error msgs generated when you try to do a whois and post them here.

    I’ve had several reports of this library not working on various systems – it’s an external open source library which I’m not particularly happy with so we may move this to a web service model on our own servers which would fix the compatibility issues.
