Unable to add/edit images.

When I attempt to add new images to a slider and click the “add image slide,” nothing happens. There is no pop-up, no redirect, no activity at all.
Similarly, when I attempt to edit the existing default images and click the “edit image” option for each picture, nothing happens.
The add video/post options work fine, it is just the image feature that is not actively working for me.
Please advise on how to resolve this issue, thank you!
