  • Hy,

    Try these:
    – clear browser’s cache and cookies
    – go to your site’s database in phpmyadmin, and add a new password for your user (do you need help in this?)
    – open yoursite/wp-login.php link, and try to login whit your user and the new password
    – If still doesn’t work:
    – rename your wp-content/plugins folder to plugins_off
    – Try to login again

i had these issues too: the horrible “connection was reset” issue.

I’ve tried everything suggested. However most of them don’t work as you simply don’t have access to anything anymore !!

BUT i got any old backup and restored things one by one (updates etc). And the last step i was to activate Wordfence…… hmmm that’s when the site fell over…. So i my case it’s Wordfence causing MY issues. I’m not what they’ve changed but that’s my culprit. I’ll try installing an older version, as the problem happened in the past couple of weeks. Never had an issue before.

Its happened again today, it seems to let me in for a month and then block me for some reason.

    Very, very frustrating.
