That was my first port of call and like i said a lot of US institutions but no UK schools. I’m the first to admit I haven’t got the gift when it comes to search terms, but surely ‘schools’ ‘UK schools’ ‘UK school website’ would bring up some, or maybe, they’re designed by an agency, who then ‘turn off’ search engine visibility of the WordPressness of the website?
At WordCamp UK in Portsmouth this year, there were some folks that had experience with WordPress in education. I have no personal experience, but perhaps this is a useful link with some contact details?

Still no UK school websites built with WordPress? How about any educationalists interested in collaborating on my first build?
I’ve tried posting in this thread a couple times, seems my posts aren’t getting through. Here’s third time lucky…
If you do a Google search for site:*.sch.uk “powered by wordpress” you’ll find every UK school page which is powered by WordPress. There’s nearly 5000 results.

If ever anybody could’ve posted a more completely useful reply, I’ll be most impressed. Thanks for your help Chris4, worked a treat!
Chris, sorry, your list’o’URLs got caught as spam (since those down-dirty spammers like to do that). I’ve fixed that.
Glad to have helped, fatn50. And no worries, Ipstenu.
