    Hi Paul,

I can understand that you will go forward with this plugin and I really like it but your constantly completely changes of the UI/UX makes it really hard to go through. Everytime when a update of your plugin appears, I have to dive into completely and check where all settings are placed. This makes it really hard to use it. So heavy changes comes not seldom along some reseted options, which I set before. Those dive-ins takes a lot of time and for a security-plugin is that really bad.

After the last update I’m feeling really lost and I have to go through a lot of instances to check, if all is still set as before.

I would really appreciate it, that you would stay with the UI/UX on the wordpress-core instead to reinvent the wheel from scratch. It would be really much easier to follow your development but study everytime your completely renewed UI/UX is not more funny…

    Hi,

Thanks for your post. Sorry that you are having such a hard time dealing with the UI exchanges. We haven’t done UI exchanges like this for probably a couple of years. We did a little bit of a refresh a couple of months ago when we cleaned some of the UI up, but we didn’t actually make any structural changes. It has been a long time since we have made any UI updates to this plugin.

I understand that there’s definitely a learning curve here, but I am confident that once you get used to it, you will find this much easier to use because you will be guided much more easily to things that you need to do. Also, these changes should not affect your configuration. Your configuration remains completely unchanged unless there are actually core changes to the plugin options that are available.

I can’t promise that we won’t have more changes to this plugin because the goal of this plugin is to make security as easy to use and as powerful as possible. Finding that balance is quite a challenge.

So while I completely appreciate any frustration you’re feeling with these changes, they are not done because we don’t consider these changes carefully. They are done because we do consider these changes very carefully and are moving towards the goal of powerful security that’s straightforward and easy for our clients and members to use.

This release, as with any release where there is a significant change, we would provide a guided walkthrough video, which we do in this plugin release also. Here is a link to the video in case you’ve missed it.

Thanks again for taking the time to share your feedback.

This is the correct video link. It would seem I’m not permitted to edit my comments.
