• Hello,

I’m not quite sure if this is the correct sub-forum, but in the Development Forum it said to ask for plugin recommendations here. So here we go.

I would like to integrate a 2FA for my WordPress Website. It should work like this:

    1. When signing up, the user should be forced to enable 2FA, preferably they would have to enter their mobile number and would get a code via SMS. Then the mobile number would be confirmed. The registration form should be a custom form with e.g. Ultimate Members.

    2. Then, every time the user wants to log into their account, they would get a code to their already confirmed mobile number and would have to enter it. Then they would be logged in. The login page would be custom as well.

Optionally, the verification could be done in Google Authenticator or anything else as well, but the process should be the same.

Do you have any idea how to achieve this/which plugins to use?

    Thanks in advance!

  • This is more of a development question than it is a 2FA question. There are a few plugins that might help you do some of what you want but I think you may need some custom code to actually get your desired results based on the explanation you gave.
