    Hi there,
I’ve noticed that if I tweet out a link to my blog homepage (https://willstocks.co.uk), the twitter card seems to be pulling the image for the latest blog post I’ve published, as opposed to something more relevant (in my opinion) such as a site logo?
Is there any way to manage this at all? Posts pull their featured image/primary image, whereas my main homepage pulls a logo etc?

  • We looked at your site front page and we see that this image is appearing in the twitter:image meta https://cdn.willstocks.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/Will-Stocks-willstocks.co_.uk-New-Favicon.png.

Can you please make sure that you didn’t assign the logo from the Yoast SEO social settings on your front page?

After updating to 8.0 yesterday, I noticed a “front page” setting in the Facebook social setting, which APPEARS to relate more specifically to Facebook/OpenGraph as opposed to related to Twitter.
As I personally don’t use Facebook as a platform, I’ve never actually ventured into the config page here.
It looks like, after manually setting the front page setting on the Facebook section it has catered for/sorted the issue? I don’t know whether it’s worth having that as a more “general” option to populate if it applies to more than one platform?

A feature request is currently open in our development repository to introduce new features for Twitter to add default data like we currently have for Facebook. You can find and follow the progress of this request here.
